Banned Book! Chris Kraus reading Naked Lunch

Chris Kraus is the author of the trilogy I Love Dick, Aliens & Anorexia and Torpor, and two books of art criticism, most recently Where Art Belongs. Summer of Hate is her fourth novel. Kraus teaches at European Graduate School and lives in LA, where she is a co-editor of Semiotexte.

Naked Lunch was published in Paris in 1959 by the notorious Olympia Press and in the U.S. in 1962; the landmark obscenity trial that ensued served to end literary censorship in America.
