American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, is a psychological thriller and satirical novel. The story is told by Patrick Bateman, a serial killer at night and Manhattan businessman by day. The book was challenged, cited as “harmful to minors” due to violence and unethical inspiration. After a killer was caught in Canada, using the American Psycho as his “bible”, the book was once again shoved into controversy.
